How Much Pollo a la Brasa to Order for a Group
The math uses only prices printed on the menu. Every total below is before tax. For 15 people and up, send a catering note at least 48 hours ahead.
The prices the math uses
For a group, start with the bundle. Whole chicken with 2 large sides is $31.99 before tax, and we plan it as food for 3–4 people. That is the bundle: the bird plus two large sides, not the bird alone. Whole chicken only, with no sides, is $19.99. A quarter chicken with two sides is $12.99. A half chicken with two sides is $16.99. A large side by itself is $8. A regular side is $5. A jarra of chicha morada is $13.99. A 2 liter Inca Kola is $9.99. The bird’s own page is pollo a la brasa.
If you buy the whole chicken only at $19.99 and then add two large sides at $8 each, the sides are $16 and the total is $35.99 before tax. The bundled whole chicken with two large sides is $31.99 before tax. For a group, the bundle is the line to start from. The loose bird is the line to use when you already have starch at home.
A plan for 4, 8, 12 and 16
Count one bundled chicken for every four people, and one jarra of chicha morada for that same chicken so the table has a drink. Four people: one bundle and one jarra. Eight: two and two. Twelve: three and three. Sixteen: four and four. Swap a jarra for a 2 liter Inca Kola at $9.99 before tax if the table wants soda instead of purple corn. The chicha on this menu is non-alcoholic.
| People | Chicken order | Chicha morada | Total before tax |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | 1 whole chicken with 2 large sides (1 × $31.99 = $31.99) | 1 jarra of chicha (1 × $13.99 = $13.99) | $45.98 |
| 8 | 2 whole chickens with 2 large sides each (2 × $31.99 = $63.98) | 2 jarras of chicha (2 × $13.99 = $27.98) | $91.96 |
| 12 | 3 whole chickens with 2 large sides each (3 × $31.99 = $95.97) | 3 jarras of chicha (3 × $13.99 = $41.97) | $137.94 |
| 16 | 4 whole chickens with 2 large sides each (4 × $31.99 = $127.96) | 4 jarras of chicha (4 × $13.99 = $55.96) | $183.92 |
Read a row as chicken total plus drink total. The right-hand figure is those two menu lines added, still before tax.
If you would rather order by the plate
Four quarter-chicken plates are 4 × $12.99 = $51.96 before tax. That feeds four people with their own sides, and it costs more than one bundled whole chicken at $31.99 before tax. Use the quarters when each person wants their own plate. Use the bundle when the table is fine pulling meat and sides from the middle. Eight quarters would be 8 × $12.99 = $103.92 before tax, against two bundles at $63.98. Half chickens at $16.99 are the in-between when someone wants more meat than a quarter and less sharing than a whole bird.
Groups of 15 or more
Once you are at 15 people, use the catering page and give the restaurant at least 48 hours. The page takes a request. The restaurant calls you back. You can build a draft estimate on that page. The restaurant confirms the final price when it calls you back. You can still do the pickup math above for 16 people if you would rather collect four chickens yourself. The catering path is the one to use when you need the kitchen to plan a tray service instead of four boxes at the counter.
